A Great Staff

This is an ALL-STAR staff; they are all outstanding skiers and as a result understand the nuances of the sport like few others. Watch them on the groomed, watch them in the deep, the steep, or the Crud...they look the same 'cause they know and can ski their stuff. BUT read on and understand what makes them so special as coaches and teachers of what we do in skiing AND beyond!
Our A-Jr. 3 FIS and USSA TEAM:
It's a pleasure to introduce the Collins Brothers: Forever residents of Whitefish, skiers, racers and two of the best coaches you can imagine.
They are so much alike, yet so completely different...

PETE COLLINS: Pete is our full-time FIS/A-Jr. 3 Coach. He is incredibly technically detailed, but has an unusual knack of delivering that in an easy and exuberant way. I dare you to find anyone who is more dedicated to their athletes... (But then wait until I introduce the rest of the bunch!)

DICK COLLINS: Dick raced for the Whitefish Team and the prestigious Montana State University Team. Dick takes it seriously...his approach is detailed, inspirational and he has a unique ability to communicate with his athletes.

THE YSL TEAM;
ZAK ANDERSON: The "Z"...Zak of course ski raced as a part of the Whitefish Team, but that was only the beginning...Don't let his sense of humor fool you, he is totally serious about skiing and its value towards making us better folks on this planet. He has a lot of interests, including designing and building skis for "Montana Ski Company". He is also actively involved in City Government, but there is nothing more important to Zak than the development of his athletes as skiers and people.
LISA NICHOLS:"Who was that ripper"...that is what I frequently am asked when folks see Lisa ski by with her group! They're right; she can smoke! But that is only skin deep for what she has to offer...An academic that equates skiing and accomplishment to lifestyle, Lisa brings it all to teaching her protegees.

THE JR. TEAM:
DAVID FISHLOWITZ: Strong. Nothing else could be as fitting an accolade for "Fish". His enthusiasiam for the development of his group could not be stronger, nor could his approach to skiing and its connection to how we live. We all have much to learn about how to ski and live from the "Fish".

CODY McCarthy: Most of us think of Cody as an icon of athleticism; you name the sport she does and we know she is more than accomplished at it. How is it that she is so good, but delivers such a fun message to her groups. So much to learn from this girl...

JOHN STEITZ: Strong and tough... Mellow... Extremes? Nope. John shows us how that blend works to become a ski racer and an ex Ski Academy and Division 1 NCAA coach. John has coached some of the very best, but he continues to tell us nothing can beat the fun he is having now with his Jr. Team Athletes!

Anne Paschen: Anne and her family moved to Whitefish in the fall of 2012 from Jackson Hole, Wy. She is an avid ski racer and continues to train and compete at the masters level.  In Wyoming she was involved with the local team and served on the board of the TVSEF for 5 years. She has three children, Kate, 12 and Cole, 9 who are in the YSL program and Nick, 15 who is generally somewhere building jumps. She hopes to bring a lot of fun, current ski technique as well as a life long love of ski racing to the junior kids.
